"pleasant memory
ending upleasantly
even if i have the sweetness
it comes with the bitterness
at the end of the day
is it another memory to store away?"
***

My question is:
Will pleasant memory become less pleasant if it ends unpleasantly?

Because I just had a wonderful experience these last weeks, but the ending to it was rather disappointing for me. All of the sudden, that wonderful memory wasn't as cheerful as I remembered.

But then I compared it with another wonderful memory that ended nicely. ... I had no recollection of it at all because there weren't anything to remember but some comforting afterglow.

So ... ?

Info on the illustration:
Sketch: ~1 year old (Jan '07)
WIP time: >10 hours (I'm getting rusty)
Illustrator 10, no tweaking in Photoshop & no texture overlay because I like the smoothness of vector art ^^

The colours are very nice, the touch of red brings it to life.

The white hair contrasts beautifully against the darker colours!

thanks! the girls' expression is rather accidental
i never intended her to be beautiful, just want her to leave a stronger impression rather than just being pretty.
