DSLR camera

mmm, my real life is taking a toll on my creativity.
i'm working slow(er than usual), so please be patient with me

on another note, i'm starting to get interested in DSLR camera,
especially after watching Sony Alpha's advertisement.
but i heard from ppl that Canon or Nikon might be a better choice for DSLR.

i'm pretty much a novice in photography, so i would really appreciate any input into what i should check for, what would suit a beginner like me, and which brand or series is more user-friendly.
